Sens. Urge Swift Keystone Pipeline Approval

Law360, New York (January 23, 2013, 6:35 PM EST) -- A group of 53 U.S. senators on Wednesday called on President Barack Obama to resist pressure from environmental groups and approve TransCanada Corp.’s Keystone XL pipeline as soon as possible, arguing the company has resolved issues regarding the project’s safety.

Nine Senate Democrats and most of the chamber’s Republicans signed onto a letter calling the tar sands pipeline environmentally sound and urging the president to give it the final go-ahead.
