National Union Owes $20M Over Dropped Defense: Seagate

Law360, San Francisco (January 24, 2013, 5:15 PM EST) -- Seagate Technology Inc. urged a California federal judge on Thursday to rule that National Union Fire Insurance Co. of Pittsburgh was obligated to protect it throughout a $1 billion patent battle with Convolve Inc. — and that the insurer should cough up $20 million in legal fees.
