Twitter Ordered To Identify Sources Of Anti-Semitic Posts

Law360, New York (January 24, 2013, 7:10 PM EST) -- A French court Thursday demanded Twitter Inc. disclose the names of users who posted anti-Semitic messages on the social media service or face a fine of more than $1,300 per day, granting the request of a Jewish student organization disturbed by the content.

The student group, Union des Etudiants Juifs de France, lodged the action against Twitter in November after the company refused to reveal the sources of hundreds of anti-Semitic messages that flooded the social media service, including “a good Jew is a dead Jew.”...
