'Survivor' Creator Hits Adviser With Contract Countersuit

Law360, Los Angeles (January 28, 2013, 5:29 PM EST) -- The co-creator of “Survivor” has countersued the reality TV show's consulting attorney in a $14 million suit filed in California state court, claiming the lawyer sought to enrich himself at the expense of the plaintiff.

Conrad Riggs — who worked with “Survivor” creator Mark Burnett in bringing the show to CBS Broadcasting Inc. — accuses Layne Leslie Britton in a suit filed Jan. 22 of breaching a fiduciary duty to him and his company Cloudbreak Entertainment Inc. by advising them to enter an unfavorable compensation agreement...
