DirecTV Gets Dealer's $10M Award Tossed In Contracts Fight

Law360, Los Angeles (January 29, 2013, 9:53 PM EST) -- A California state judge Tuesday tentatively vacated the $9.5 million arbitration award a DirecTV Inc. dealer won against the satellite company in a contracts dispute, saying the companies' deal allowed DirecTV to back out unilaterally with 30 days' notice.

Judge Ruth A. Kwan's tentative ruling reversed the decision of a divided arbitration panel.
