ABX To Pay $3.5M To Exit Freight Forwarding Cartel Suit

Law360, New York (January 30, 2013, 1:29 PM EST) -- ABX Logistics Worldwide NV/SA has agreed to shell out $3.5 million to resolve a putative purchaser class' claims that the company conspired to fix prices in the freight forwarding industry, according to a New York federal court filing Wednesday.

The deal, which was granted preliminary court approval Wednesday, follows the purchaser plaintiffs' settlements with nine other freight forwarding companies that stood accused in the suit of engaging in a cartel.
