Toyota Recalls 1.3M Cars Over Faulty Airbags, Wiper Blades

Law360, New York (January 30, 2013, 3:13 PM EST) -- Toyota Motor Corp. announced Wednesday that it is recalling more than a million Corolla and Lexus IS vehicles after discovering two separate potential safety hazards involving defects related to the airbag and windshield wiper systems.

The company will begin informing owners of model year 2003 and 2004 Corolla sedans and Corolla Matrix hatchbacks of a problem with the airbag control circuits in as many as 907,000 of those vehicles that has the potential to cause inadvertent deployment.
