Pa. Transit Authority Sued Over Maintenance Contract Breach

Law360, Philadelphia (February 4, 2013, 7:27 PM EST) -- The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority was hit with a lawsuit in state court Friday saying that it improperly backed out of approximately $1 million worth of contracts with a Philadelphia maintenance company.

Precision Fleet Industrial Service Inc. said that SEPTA pulled the plug on a pair of maintenance contracts for material handling and sweeper/scrubber equipment despite the company’s having been awarded the work through valid bids.
