Figure Skater Baiul Seeks $5M From NBC For Using Her Image

Law360, Los Angeles (February 4, 2013, 9:05 PM EST) -- Figure skater Oksana Baiul launched a $5 million suit in New York state court Friday accusing NBCUniversal Media LLC and others of using her likeness in an advertising campaign for their ice skating shows without her consent. 

The Olympic gold medalist claims NBCUniversal, NBC Sports Networking LP and Disson Skating LLC purposely released commercials and press statements saying Baiul would be headlining two ice skating shows in 2011 and 2012 in New York before she had agreed to appear in them, damaging her relationship with entertainment...
