Forest Labs Wants Class Nixed In $100M Gender Bias Suit

Law360, New York (February 6, 2013, 3:28 PM EST) -- Forest Laboratories Inc. on Monday asked a New York federal court to toss class claims from a $100 million lawsuit accusing the drugmaker of gender and pregnancy discrimination, saying the suit consists of “manufactured class claims beneath which only tenuous individual claims lie.”

The pharmaceutical company filed a motion urging the court to dismiss not only all class claims alleged in the plaintiffs' complaint but also two individual claims of sexual harassment brought by named plaintiffs in the suit and one individual retaliation claim.
