S&P Taps White Collar Heavy Hitter To Fight DOJ Suit

Law360, New York (February 7, 2013, 7:05 PM EST) -- Noted trial attorney John Keker will represent Standard & Poor's Financial Services LLC in a federal government suit alleging that it knowingly inflated ratings on residential mortgage-backed securities, a spokeswoman for the firm said Thursday.

Keker, who heads the eponymous firm Keker & Van Nest LLP, will counsel the ratings firm along with partner Elliot Peters, Keker & Van Nest spokeswoman Barbara Abulafia said.
