DOI To Probe Coal Export Royalty Payments

Law360, New York (February 8, 2013, 7:49 PM EST) -- The U.S. Interior Department will investigate reports that mining companies are exploiting financial loopholes to avoid paying full royalties for overseas coal exports, the top Democrat and Republican on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee said Friday.
