Obama Expected To Unveil Cybersecurity Executive Order

Law360, New York (February 11, 2013, 9:50 PM EST) -- President Barack Obama is reportedly preparing to issue a long-awaited executive order on Wednesday setting new corporate cybersecurity standards to protect the nation's infrastructure in a bid to sidestep the congressional gridlock that scuttled related legislation in 2012.

The morning after Tuesday’s State of the Union address, the White House plans to release an order establishing a voluntary system of best practices and standards, crafted in part by the government, for companies involved in the nation's critical infrastructure, The Hill reported Monday.
