Enzo Again Hits Abbott With Patent Suit Over DNA Probes

Law360, New York (February 13, 2013, 1:31 PM EST) -- A unit of Enzo Biochem Inc. on Monday sued Abbott Laboratories in Delaware federal court, again accusing the Chicago-based biotechnology giant of infringing a patent covering DNA testing technology.

Farmingdale, N.Y.-based Enzo Life Sciences Inc. alleges that Abbott is infringing one or more claims of the patent by producing certain DNA fluorescent in situ hybridization probes, including such products as AneuVysion Multicolor DNA Probes, UroVysion Bladder Cancer Probes and CEP 8 SpectrumOrange Direct Label Fluorescent DNA Probes.
