Franken Takes Key Energy Subcommittee Post In Senate

Law360, New York (February 13, 2013, 7:50 PM EST) -- Sen. Al Franken took the helm of an influential Senate energy panel Wednesday, a position the Minnesota Democrat says he’ll use to promote renewable energy projects and energy efficiency.

 

Franken, the junior senator in his state, will replace Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., as chairman of the energy subcommittee within the Senate Energy and Natural Resource Committee.
