HDTV Maker Faces Shareholder Suits Over Stock Dip

Law360, New York (December 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Shareholders of Syntax-Brillian Corp. have filed securities fraud lawsuits against the high-definition television manufacturer and its executives for allegedly hiding information about inadequate accounting systems and anticipated revenues.

The Nagel Family Trust became the latest shareholder to file a class-action lawsuit in an Arizona federal court against the maker of Olevia and Brillian televisions, as well as Vivitar cameras. The suit, filed on Tuesday, joined at least one other lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona bringing similar allegations.
