Carlyle Raises $308M For Peru Fund

Law360, New York (February 19, 2013, 2:46 PM EST) -- The Carlyle Group LP has accumulated $308 million for its new Peru fund, which will target businesses in health care, infrastructure and other industries, the private equity firm said Tuesday.

Washington-headquartered Carlyle will invest the fund alongside Credicorp SA, Peru’s biggest bank, and will also focus on businesses in retail and consumer, education, mining, and construction. It will be managed through Carlyle's Lima office, which opened in August and now has four full-time investment advisory professionals, the firm said.
