Pa. Commission Nixes Unemployment Benefit Rules

Law360, Philadelphia (February 19, 2013, 3:34 PM EST) -- Pennsylvania regulators shot down new rules from the state’s Department of Labor and Industry on Friday that would have expanded requirements that jobless workers prove they are looking for work in order to continue receiving unemployment benefits, saying the regulations exceeded the department’s statutory authority.
