L'Oreal, Others Accused Of Violating Packaging Patents

Law360, New York (February 21, 2013, 5:43 PM EST) -- L'Oreal USA Inc. and Hasbro Inc. were among a slew of companies sued in the U.S. International Trade Commission on Wednesday for packaging their products in laminated packaging that allegedly infringe patents held by a Texas-based company.

Lamina Packaging Innovations LLC claims at least 15 companies, including headphone maker Beats Electronics LLC and several liquor producers, are using packaging that infringes its patents. Lamina has also filed parallel litigation in Texas federal court against the companies.
