IBM Seeks Import Ban Against ASUSTeK CPU Parts

Law360, New York (December 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- International Business Machines Corp. has asked a U.S. trade regulator to stop Taiwanese notebook and computer part maker ASUSTeK Computer Inc. from importing products that allegedly infringe patents for power supply, computer cooling and computer clustering capabilities.

IBM filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission on Wednesday which sought an exclusion order against the importation of notebook computers, servers, routers and other computer components made or sold by ASUSTeK and its U.S. subsidiary ASUS Computer International.
