IFC Injects $100M Into InterEnergy's Caribbean Projects

Law360, New York (February 22, 2013, 4:16 PM EST) -- The International Finance Corporation and one if its affiliate funds are jointly investing $100 million into private equity-backed InterEnergy Holdings to bolster its energy operations — including more renewable sources — in the Dominican Republic and Haiti, according to a Thursday statement.

Under the agreement, the World Bank Group's IFC and the IFC African Latin American and Caribbean Fund will pony up $50 million each to the 2-year-old power management company formed by InterEnergy Partners LP. The capital will go toward expanding the company's current operations...
