HP, Lacoste Among Cos. Accused Of Infringing Tracking IP

Law360, New York (February 25, 2013, 1:09 PM EST) -- Hewlett-Packard Co., Lacoste USA Inc. and New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc. were among the companies targeted Friday in a spate of suits in Florida federal court claiming they infringed ArrivalStar SA’s vehicle tracking technology patents.

ArrivalStar and Melvino Technologies Ltd., which owns the asserted patents and licenses them to ArrivalStar, fired off at least 11 suits alleging the defendants infringed several patents covering technology for tracking and monitoring vehicles, according to the complaints.
