Investor Sues HP For Docs On Ill-Fated $10.3B Autonomy Buy

Law360, Wilmington (February 26, 2013, 4:46 PM EST) -- A pension fund shareholder of Hewlett-Packard Co. on Monday sued in Delaware to force the computer giant to turn over internal records concerning its disastrous $10.3 billion acquisition of U.K. software company Autonomy Corp. PLC.

Louisiana Municipal Police Employees’ Retirement System filed the complaint to further its investigation of potential mismanagement and breaches of fiduciary duty by HP’s board in connection with the 2011 Autonomy deal, which forced HP to take a $8.8 billion write-down in November.
