Greenberg Traurig Will Mediate $200M Sex Bias Suit

Law360, New York (February 28, 2013, 12:41 PM EST) -- Greenberg Traurig LLP and one of its former attorneys have agreed to mediate claims in a proposed $200 million class action alleging the firm discriminated against its female shareholders, telling a Pennsylvania federal judge on Wednesday that they wished to sidestep lengthy litigation.

Onetime shareholder Francine Griesing and Greenberg said they expected to schedule and complete mediation within 70 days, and U.S. District Judge Mitchell S. Goldberg granted their motion to stay litigation that Greenberg launched in Pennsylvania federal court in response to Griesing's lawsuit. The...
