NY Probing BofA Over Mortgage Securities

Law360, Los Angeles (February 28, 2013, 11:04 PM EST) -- The New York State Attorney General's Office has launched an investigation into Bank of America Corp.’s purchase, securitization and underwriting of home loans and mortgage-backed securities, the bank said in a securities filing Thursday.

In its annual report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Bank of America said it had received several subpoenas and other requests for information from regulators and government officials on its underwriting and issuance of MBS and its participation in certain collateralized debt obligation offerings.
