MSG Settles Harassment Suit For $11.5M

Law360, New York (December 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Madison Square Garden LP has reportedly agreed to pay $11.5 million to settle charges that it retaliated against a former executive after she accused New York Knicks head coach Isiah Thomas of sexual harassment.

The settlement comes about two months after a federal jury handed plaintiff, Anucha Browne Sanders $11.6 million in punitive damages.

In addition to carving $100,000 out of the jury verdict, the settlement stops Browne Sanders from seeking an extra $9.6 million in compensatory damages and millions more in attorneys' fees, according to...
