Dell Claims License In New Claim Against Lucent

Law360, New York (December 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Dell Inc. has added a new tortious interference counterclaim against Alcatel-Lucent for alleged fraud by re-assigning two video-coding patents to a trust in order to block an existing Dell licensing deal for the technology.

Dell on Monday amended its answer to a complaint filed by Lucent Technologies Inc. and Multimedia Patent Trust in a California federal court for allegedly violating video coding patents.
