NJ Health Exchange Oversight Measure Clears Senate Panel

Law360, New York (March 4, 2013, 5:55 PM EST) -- A state Legislature-appointed task force would keep watch over the implementation and operation of a federally run health insurance exchange in New Jersey and recommend improvements under a measure that the state Senate Commerce Committee advanced Monday.

Faced with Gov. Chris Christie's recent decision to have the federal government run that virtual marketplace for small businesses and the uninsured to purchase qualified plans, state Sen. Nia Gill, D-Essex/Passaic, said the panel would help the Legislature track the progress of the exchange and take action if necessary....
