Homebuilder Plans Fla. Community After $15M Land Buy

Law360, Miami (March 7, 2013, 7:58 PM EST) -- Mattamy Homes Ltd., Canada's largest homebuilder, on Thursday announced a $15 million acquisition of 250 acres in the Orlando, Fla., area where it intends to build a major planned community.

Tapestry, as the Kissimmee, Fla., development will be known, will feature a mix of townhomes and single-family homes on 1,100 lots in close proximity to Walt Disney World and other attractions, as well as Orlando International Airport, Lake Nona's Medical City and a new retail hub known as “The Loop,” according to a statement from the...
