Sens. Want More Info On FERC Pipeline Rate Probes

Law360, New York (March 7, 2013, 6:38 PM EST) -- The top two members of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee demanded Wednesday that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission provide more information about investigations into whether natural gas pipeline operators overcharge customers.

Since 2009, the regulator has launched 10 rate proceedings against pipeline operators under the Natural Gas Act to determine whether the rates they charge are just and reasonable, according to committee chairman Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and ranking minority member Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska.
