Kirkland, Skadden Among Firms Riding $127B Megadeal Wave

Law360, New York (March 12, 2013, 4:45 PM EDT) -- Half the deals, more than three times the dollars: The benefits of big-time mergers and acquisitions were clear in February, according to data compiled Tuesday by FactSet, and BigLaw heavyweights like Kirkland & Ellis and Skadden have reaped the rewards.

According to FactSet's monthly U.S. deals report, transactions worth $127.5 billion were signed up last month, compared to just $35.5 billion in January.
