Microsoft Tied Explorer To Windows: Complaint

Law360, New York (December 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Norway-based Opera Software ASA has filed a complaint with the European Commission accusing Microsoft Corp. of abusing its dominant position in the market, the company said Thursday.

According to the complaint, Microsoft is illegally tying its Internet Explorer browser to its Windows operating system and is also hindering interoperability by not following accepted Web standards.
