Lockheed In Line For Hotel Tax Break Under Md. Bill

Law360, Los Angeles (March 12, 2013, 8:54 PM EDT) -- The Maryland Senate was expected to vote on a bill Tuesday that would hand Lockheed Martin Corp. $450,000 per year in hotel rental tax breaks on a private conference center that the defense company maintains for employees in Bethesda.

Senate Bill 631 would exempt companies in Maryland that operate hotels or conference and training facilities for employees from county hotel rental taxes. Sen. Nancy J. King, D-Montgomery, was the measure's primary sponsor, according to the Washington Post.
