Families Sue GM Over Chevy Fire That Killed Two

Law360, New York (December 13, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- Family members sued General Motors Corp. on Wednesday on behalf of two young children whose fathers were both killed when a crash in Mississippi caused the Chevy they were driving explode in flames.

Matthew James Carpenter and Steven Ray Renfroe were killed on June 27, 2006, in a car wreck that occurred while Renfroe was driving his 1994 Chevrolet 1500 K-5 Blazer eastbound on a highway in Madison County, Miss., with Matthew James Carpenter in the passenger’s seat, according to the suit, filed in Jackson, Miss....
