Steptoe Defamed PE Firm In CalPERS Probe, Suit Says

Law360, New York (March 13, 2013, 5:31 PM EDT) -- The founder of private equity company Pacific Corporate Group sued Steptoe & Johnson LLP and a consulting firm for defamation in a pro se California state court complaint Monday, alleging an investigation by the firms unfairly tied him to a pay-to-play scandal at the California Public Employees' Retirement System.
