SG Can Weigh In On Prop 8 Case, Supreme Court Says

Law360, Los Angeles (March 15, 2013, 4:23 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court said Friday that it will allow the solicitor general to participate in oral arguments later this month over the constitutionality of a California law restricting gay marriage.

The high court will allow the solicitor general to weigh in March 26 on a challenge by a group that sponsored California's Proposition 8 to the Ninth Circuit's ruling that the measure, which voters passed in 2008, violates the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause.
