Grand Jury Testimony To Stay Sealed In Air Cargo Cartel MDL

Law360, New York (March 19, 2013, 7:39 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Tuesday overturned an earlier ruling unsealing portions of grand jury testimony given during the U.S. government's investigation into a possible air cargo cartel, ruling that the multidistrict litigation plaintiffs hadn't shown they needed the information enough to merit disclosure.

U.S. District Judge John Gleeson upheld objections from two airlines and grand jury witnesses to an October order from the magistrate judge in the case that would have given the plaintiffs' attorneys access to parts of two witnesses' grand jury transcripts....
