Dura Allows Auto Rival's IP Counterclaims

Law360, New York (December 17, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bankrupt Dura Automotive Systems Inc. has agreed to let its reorganization plan lift restrictions on any counterclaims made by Magna Donnelly Corp. in a patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation suit between the rival auto part manufacturers.

Carcy of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on Thursday approved a stipulation between the companies that lifted Dura's automatic stay and confirmed that Dura's reorganization plan would not affect Magna's counterclaims.
