E-Storage Bill Gets Go-Ahead From Pa. Senate Panel

Law360, Philadelphia (March 20, 2013, 6:02 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday gave the green light to a bill that would modernize state court records through electronic scanning and storage.

In a meeting in Harrisburg, the committee’s 14 members unanimously signed off on S.B. 372, legislation introduced in January by Sen. Matt Smith, D-Allegheny, that would force the state to electronically scan and store state court records currently compiled on microfilm and microfiche.
