Saudis Should Pay For 9/11, Firms Tell 2nd Circ.

Law360, New York (March 20, 2013, 6:31 PM ET) -- Large insurance companies, Cantor Fitzgerald LP and others affected by the Sept. 11 attacks asked the Second Circuit on Wednesday to reopen a case alleging Saudi Arabia supported the terrorists, arguing that the law on when foreign powers can be sued has changed.

The plaintiffs claim the Middle Eastern kingdom provided cash and other support to Al-Qaeda, the terror group that claimed responsibility for the attacks, which killed thousands and caused billions in property damage.
