He is a former deputy director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Competition and focuses on antitrust, competition and consumer protection/FTC matters, including merger review, government investigations and litigation. While serving as a senior FTC official from 2001 to 2004, Hoffman oversaw the bureau’s antitrust enforcement activities, including merger reviews, investigations, litigation and policy development.
