Google Asks Panel To Steer Email Scanning Cases To Calif.

Law360, San Diego (March 21, 2013, 11:17 PM ET) -- An attorney representing Google Inc. on Thursday pushed for a multidistrict litigation panel to centralize in California federal court six proposed privacy class actions alleging it illegally used data from emails sent to Gmail addresses, saying consolidation will simplify discovery and prevent inconsistent decisions.
