9th Circ. Clears AT&T, Verizon Of Messaging Infringement

Law360, Los Angeles (March 25, 2013, 7:55 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit on Monday agreed with a lower court that AT&T Mobility LLC, Verizon Wireless, Sprint Spectrum LP and T-Mobile USA Inc. did not vicariously violate copyright laws — and make up to $10 billion — by allowing customers to unlawfully share material owned by mobile multimedia content producers.
