Informatica Collects $1.7M In Interest From Rival

Law360, New York (December 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Although Informatica Corp. was slighted $5 million in attorneys’ fees earlier this month, the company has received a $1.7 million boost in prejudgment interest following its victory in its data transformation patent suit against competitor Business Objects Data Integration Inc.

The court-approved prejudgment interest bumped up Informatica’s total award on Tuesday to $13.8 million, which includes the $12.1 million judgment against Business Objects in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
