LSI Loses $18M Trade Secret Verdict

Law360, New York (December 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A jury in Texas has awarded semiconductor company Silicon Space Technology Corp. $18 million in a case in which SST accused LSI Logic Corp. of stealing trade secrets and breaching a nondisclosure agreement.

On Dec. 14, following a three-week trial, a jury in the District Court of Travis County, Texas, found that LSI had violated that state's Theft of Trade Secret Act when it appropriated the SST's technology after a 2004 meeting, Austin-based SST said.
