Amended Miami Stadium Funding Bill Advances In Fla. Senate

Law360, Miami (April 2, 2013, 6:51 PM EDT) -- The Florida Senate rules committee voted unanimously Tuesday in favor of a bill to contribute public money for the Miami Dolphins' proposed $389 million renovation of Sun Life Stadium while also adopting plans for a new system for evaluating sports facility funding in the future.

Team officials touted the progress with S.B. 306, sponsored by Sen. Oscar Braynon II, D-Miami Gardens, although it was not entirely clear how Tuesday's amendment creating the new program would affect their current efforts.
