ZTE Cleared Of Huawei Data Card Patent Claims In France

Law360, New York (March 29, 2013, 2:48 PM EDT) -- A French court has sided with ZTE Corp. in a patent infringement suit brought against the company by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., finding that a Huawei patent related to data card technology lacked novelty, ZTE said Friday. 

A district court in Paris dismissed Huawei's patent infringement claim and ordered the company to pay ZTE and its French subsidiary €100,000 ($128,120) in damages in the suit, according to a ZTE statement.
