State Plans To Privatize Medicaid Face Price Pressures

Law360, New York (April 3, 2013, 8:14 PM EDT) -- Federal health officials said last week they would consider proposals from Arkansas and other states to expand Medicaid by using federal dollars to pay for private insurance, but experts say the plans will work only if states somehow can devise a way to make buying private insurance no more expensive than offering traditional Medicaid.
