Sprint Settles With Acacia Unit Over GPS Tracking

Law360, New York (January 02, 2008, 12:00 AM ET) -- Sprint Nextel Corp. has become the fourth company to settle patent infringement claims asserted by a unit of Acacia Research Corp. over fleet management technology that combines wireless communication with GPS tracking.

Telematics Corp. announced on Wednesday that it had settled claims against Sprint Nextel in a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Terms of the deal were confidential and not disclosed.
