Google Uses Android To Box Out Rivals, Microsoft Says

Law360, New York (April 9, 2013, 5:20 PM EDT) -- A group of search and technology companies including Microsoft Corp. and Expedia Inc. said Tuesday they had lodged an antitrust complaint with the European Union challenging Google Inc.'s “predatory distribution” of its Android smartphone operating system and accusing the search giant of stifling competition.

The complaint itself wasn't immediately available, but FairSearch, the 17-company coalition that filed it, issued a statement calling Mountain View, Calif.-based Google 's Android system a “Trojan horse” that's allegedly part of a anti-competitive scheme to monopolize the mobile marketplace and solidify...
